As part of ANZCA training, you need to complete a number of Workplace-Based Assessments (WBAs). It’s worth keeping an eye on these on a regular basis, particularly if you work in a centre that does ‘block’ rotations where you might go for several months without exposure to a given specialty. It’s really frustrating to realise just before the end of a training period or when trying to sign off an SSU that you’ve done all the cases needed but missed a WBA for one of them!
Some people find it hard keeping track of these online and prefer to use a paper checklist, such as these:
